Ocvir Tablet is a combination antiviral medication containing Sofosbuvir and Daclatasvir, used in the treatment of Chronic Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) infection. Manufactured by Devazo Pharmaceuticals, Ocvir offers a powerful, direct-acting antiviral (DAA) regimen that effectively inhibits viral replication and clears the infection.

Ocvir combines:

Sofosbuvir 400mg: A nucleotide polymerase inhibitor that blocks the HCV NS5B enzyme.

Daclatasvir 60mg: An NS5A inhibitor that prevents viral replication and assembly.

This dual mechanism of action provides high cure rates across various HCV genotypes (1-6), making Ocvir a preferred option in both treatment-naïve and experienced patients.

Ocvir is typically prescribed as part of a 12-week or 24-week regimen, depending on the genotype and severity of liver fibrosis or cirrhosis. The treatment is well-tolerated and does not require interferon injections, making it a convenient oral therapy option.

Patients are advised to take one Ocvir tablet daily, with or without food, at the same time each day to maintain consistent drug levels.

Common side effects may include headache, fatigue, nausea, and insomnia. Severe adverse effects are rare but require immediate medical attention if they occur.
